How Dispatchd text messaging works

Dispatchd is a staff scheduling and shift-dispatch tool used by venues, restaurants, and event operators to coordinate their own employees and on-call staff by text message.

1. Who receives messages

Messages are sent only to staff, employees, and on-call workers of a business that uses Dispatchd, who have provided their own mobile number to that business and agreed to receive scheduling messages. Dispatchd does not message the general public and does not send marketing or promotional content.

2. How staff opt in to messages

A worker provides express consent to receive text messages in one of these ways:

Consent is not a condition of employment for any unrelated purpose, and a worker can decline or opt out at any time without affecting anything other than receiving these texts.

No purchase. No third parties. Mobile numbers are collected solely to operate scheduling for that employer. Numbers are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing, and SMS consent is never shared with third parties.

3. What the messages say (sample messages)

These are representative of every message type Dispatchd sends. All are transactional notifications tied to the recipient’s own work schedule.

5. Privacy

Dispatchd collects a worker’s name and mobile number only to operate scheduling for their employer. This information, and the fact that a worker has opted in to SMS, is never sold or shared with any third party for marketing purposes. Numbers are used solely to send the scheduling messages described above.
